A phone call between Kanye West and Sean "Diddy" Combs has been released online.
The call, released on Instagram by TheShadeRoom, is captured on video, showing Kanye on the phone with Diddy as the latter resides in the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York. Diddy is awaiting his trial, scheduled for May, on federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking - he's pled not guilty to all charges.
While on the phone with the Stronger rapper, Diddy thanked him for taking care of his kids. The disgraced music mogul has seven children - Quincy, 33, Justin, 30, Christian, 26, Chance, 18, D'Lila, 17, Jessie, 17, and Love, 1.
After thanking Kanye, Diddy claimed on the call, "Ain't nobody reach out to them. Ain't nobody call, you know what I'm saying?" Kanye agrees before Diddy continues: "That meant so much, you know what I'm saying, that you reached out to them and took them under your wing while I'm in this **** and I appreciate you, word up."
Kanye responded: "Absolutely. I love you so much, man. It's like you, you raised me even, even when I didn't know you. You know what I'm saying?"
Diddy agreed, telling Kanye: "I feel the love Ye for real, I feel the love. It means so much to me because this s--t right here is crazy. You be careful out there 'cause they definitely trying to end us, you feel me?"
"They can't do it and they ain't gonna do it," he continued, "I'm gonna beat this s--t and get next to you we gon' raise our families and become the kings we supposed to be."
In another clip shared by the account, Diddy once again thanked Kanye for taking care of his son, though it's not clear which son he was referring to. "That's some next level big brother s--t," Diddy said, "You ain't have to do that, but taking my son and being a big brother, father figure, it means a lot."
"I appreciate that man," Kanye said, adding that he looked up to the relationship that Diddy had with his children, "I just always loved the way, the connection you all had or the connection you got."
Some of Diddy's children have supported him by showing up to his court hearings alongside his mother, Janice Combs. During the most recent hearing, his daughter Chance and son Christian were in the courtroom when it was decided that jury selection for Diddy's trial would start on May 5.
