Ryan, 19, was chosen as a featured artist by the Berklee Popular Music Institute (BPMI).
The singer, songwriter and guitarist, who graduated from Kirrawee High School, will perform at Country Jam in Colorado this summer.
It's one of America's largest country music festivals, and he will share it with country superstars Luke Bryan, Cody Johnson, and Bail Zimmerman.
Based in Boston, Ryan is completing a Bachelor of Music at Berklee College of Music. He has built a strong reputation for his authentic honky-tonk sound and high-energy live performances.
But it all started in the shire, where he regularly performed at local venues.
"Being selected as a BPMI featured artist and getting the chance to perform at Country Jam is an incredible honour," he said. "I'm so proud to represent Berklee - and Australia - on such an iconic stage. I can't wait to bring about shire to Colorado."
After his US summer festival commitments, Ryan will return to Australia in July and plans to perform at venues nationwide, including stops in the shire.
