AN INDIE-rock band from Runcorn that are inspired by their hometown roots have released their new single.
Parlours is a band with three members hailing from Warrington and two from Runcorn that formed in 2022.
Kane Partington, Tom Gaskell, Tom Jones, Jack Swanwick and Joe Dursley bonded over similar interests and decided to try making music together.
The 24 and 25-year-olds decided to name the band after a pub, called Parlour, that two of the members lived above while studying at University in Liverpool.
Now, three years on, the band are stronger than ever and have released their latest single, Paradox.

The group have been hard at work creating their new EP, Here We Are, which will be released later this year.
“We were all mates before the band, and we all grew up around Warrington or Runcorn so the inspiration [for our music] came from there,” said Jack.
“Some of the songs have more meaning than others, but they’re all based on our own experiences growing up as lads in working class towns.
“The songs are about life, where we’re from or experiences we’ve had.”
The band have stayed close to their hometown roots, which has helped them build a growing fanbase.
“We rehearse in a pub in between Warrington and Widnes,” said Jack.
“Where we’re from is quite important in terms of the gigs we do especially. We’ve got quite a good core fanbase from Warrington and Runcorn that’s slowly starting to build now.”

Parlours recently took part in Warrington Music Festival’s Winter Showcase at Parr Hall, an experience that the group say they will always treasure.
“We’ve always said we want to go and headline Parr Hall for our own gig,” said Jack.
“The fact we’ve actually managed to headline it as part of a festival is just massive for us really.
“That’s probably one we won’t forget and will stay up there forever as one of the best gigs we’ve ever had.”
While the release date for their EP is yet to be announced, the band have released their new single Paradox which is available to stream now.
They will also be performing at the Castle Hotel in Manchester on April 12.
