Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

WHEN: 5 p.m.

WHERE: 600 N 2nd St., Suite 5 (on Highway 33 where Walnut turns into M St.)

DETAILS: Keller Williams Realty will be celebrating the grand opening of a Patterson office with a ribbon cutting ceremony by Patterson Westley Chamber of Commerce

Sacred Heart Clam Chowder drive-thru

WHEN: 4 to 6 p.m.

WHERE: Drive-thru takeout at Lopes Orchards De Paul Center, 505 M St.

DETAILS: Purchase tickets at Sacred Heart Church Patterson, Patterson Family Pharmacy or Sacred Heart school. Chowder for two includes 32 oz. clam chowder, two 6-inch fresh baked bread bowls and dessert.

COST: $35 will serve two, or $60 for two tickets will serve 4

PHS Music Theatre’s Winnie the Pooh

WHEN: doors open at 5:30 p.m., show begins at 6 p.m.

WHERE: Francis J. Bettencourt Performing Arts Center, 225 N 9th St.

DETAILS: Talented students from the Patterson High School Musical Theatre Department perform Winnie the Pooh Kids, a musical for the entire family featuring your favorite characters from the Hundred Acre Wood.

Gypsy Dreams: Fleetwood Mac Tribute

WHEN: 8 p.m.

WHERE: West Side Theatre, 1331 Main St., Newman

DETAILS: Gypsy Dreams concert experience recreates the music and magic of Fleetwood Mac. Not just a concert, but a high production, high energy experience with band members that look just like the most famous line-up of Fleetwood Mac with video imagery, perfectly blended harmonies, storytelling, banter between the characters, and authentic costumes and instruments.

DETAILS: Enjoy storybooks, lap bounces, music, dancing, rhythm activities, fingerplays and more at this special program for babies, active toddlers and adult caregivers. 

Nintendo Switch Party

WHEN: 3:30 p.m.

WHERE: Patterson Library, 46 N. Salado

DETAILS: Ready to try a Switch? Come on by! Try the Patterson Library's newest addition: The Nintendo Switch! In addition to the Switch, there will be board games, puzzles, and more! Refreshments will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is open to people of all ages; however, please note that some games may have content suitable for ages 10 and up (rated E10+).

Story Time, Wee Move & Play

WHEN: 11 a.m. to noon

WHERE: Patterson Library, 46 N. Salado

DETAILS: New and classic picture books, flannel board and puppet stories, fingerplays, music and dancing, all for kids aged 3-5 and their caregivers. Preschoolers who learn to love books and stories will be more successful readers. Storytime participation also promotes listening and motor skills. Stay and play! After story time, join in for a play date at the library featuring toys, books and music for ages 5 and under. Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

STEAM Activity: Bug Out with an Entomologist

WHEN: 3:30 p.m.

WHERE: Patterson Library, 46 N Salado Ave.

DETAILS: Do you know what an entomologist is? Entomologists are scientists who study insects. Meet a real-life entomologist in the Patterson Library Community Room, ask all the bug questions you want and see the UC Master Gardener Bug Collection. Then, make your own bug, either solar-powered or with paper plates, while supplies last. Sponsored by UCCE Master Gardeners of Stanislaus County.
